About us

Stokes Tuition was founded in 2023 by Laura Stokes, an experienced educator with over 12 years of teaching across primary, secondary, and college settings, as well as leadership experience as a middle leader and senior examiner.

Throughout her career, Laura discovered her greatest passion lay in helping students reach their full potential, whether that meant building confidence in maths, securing a GCSE pass, or stretching beyond the curriculum to achieve excellence.

Stokes Tuition was created to provide high-quality, personalised support for students who needed that extra guidance to reach their goals. Whether it’s improving confidence in maths, achieving a grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths, catching up on missed learning, preparing for the 11+ or 13+ exams, or extending learning further, we tailor our teaching to each student’s individual needs.

Thanks to the success of our students and the trust of their families, Stokes Tuition has grown to include a team of dedicated tutors who share the same passion for building strong relationships and helping every learner thrive.

We are proud that in both 2024 and 2025, 100% of our GCSE Maths students achieved grade 4+, and every student on our 11+ courses received an offer from their top-choice school.
